Community Miniature
Ever wish you had more of a say in the minis that Bad Squiddo Games produces? Well now you do!
The Community Miniature is going to be an ongoing project that involves our Facebook Group Baggy’s Cave and Ko-Fi. We wanted to be able to run mini crowdfunders alongside our regular releases but not go through a Kickstarter each time for single miniatures. Often we are approached by keen fans to make a whole bunch of different women from history, but being such a small company, don’t have the funds.
But things are more fun when they involve a bunch of people, so let’s do it!
There will be ongoing voting in our Baggy’s Cave group, once the mini has been chosen, those who wish to, can put some money into the pot towards it’s creation. When it’s hit, the mini is made, hooray! You may then switch your donation out for a voucher redeemable against the mini. Unlike Kickstarter, you will only be able to use it for minis int he Community Miniature section of the website. So though you may put as much towards it as you wish, bear that in mind.
Because it’s one mini at a time, we realise that not everybody will want to collect the mini each time, and might want to pickup say 3 at once. Because of this, we’ve made it so you “cash out” when you are ready by contacting us, and we’ll swap your payments for a voucher. This means you can always put smaller amounts in to add up over time too. Subscription options are available too - again however much or little you like.
Your name or moniker of preference will be listed on the website along with that mini as a person who made it happen, and you will receive a neat little certificate of thanks with your mini!
Once the total is hit, we move onto the next mini and the process starts again! I’ve listed it below for simplicity.
